Transport costs are a complex issue and it is not always easy to explain to a customer what influences these costs and how they are calculated. The section below examines certain aspects of this issue. We hope it will help customers understand how we usually handle online orders.
Shipping in Italy and in European countries
Our deliveries in Italy are free for the purchaser for all orders for an amount exceeding EUR 49,00 and all our deliveries in other European country mentioned are free for orders for amounts greater than € 79.00 (Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, Malta, Holland, Portugal, United Kingdom, Spain, Denmark, Lithuania) or for amounts greater than € 100.00 (Finland, Greece, Latvia, Poland, Sweden). For orders worth less, the cost of our shipments is fixed regardless of the volume of merchandise, namely:
for Italy applies a fee flat rate of EUR 4.90 (excluding VAT);
for Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, Malta, Holland, Portugal, Spain applies a fee flat rate of EUR 9.85 (excluding VAT).
for Denmark and Lithuania applies a fee flat rate of EUR 12.29 (excluding VAT).
for Finland, Greece, Latvia, Poland, United Kingdom, Sweden applies a fee flat rate of EUR 16.39 (excluding VAT).
The shipment is made by courier specialist Monday through Friday. We will carry out the order received within 10 days from the day following that on which the contract was concluded, entrusting it to the courier later. In the event that we are unable to ship within that period it will give timely notice by e-mail to Buyer, with indication of the deadline will order fulfillment. Delivery times may vary depending on the country of destination and other factors not directly controllable by the supplier and not attributable to it. Indicatively, and with the exceptions mentioned above:
In Italy the delivery is expected in about 3-5 days.
In countries outside Italy the delivery is expected in about 5-10 days.
Unfortunately we choose the person who will carry out direct delivery, so, in case you have received a delivery service that does not feel appropriate, please let us know. We will do our best to make the service better.
Packing: all our packages are marked “Chiostro di Saronno” or “Paolo Lazzaroni & Figli S.p.a”, labeled with information about the recipient and are sealed. If you receive a package tampered or ruined remember to indicate this on the signed document that you will need to make it to the courier. Any service interruptions of the Courier: If the courier is unable to start or continue the transport of the shipment to the sender due to no fault itself, this does not constitute a breach of contract with the sender, but the Courier will do everything reasonably possible under the circumstances, to start or continue the transport. By way of example, constitute force majeure events: breaking of or ground transportation routes due to bad weather, fire, flood, war, riots or unrest, actions of governmental authorities or other authorities (including, just For example, customs) and labor disputes or obligations involving the Courier or any third party.
Payments and Refunds
The Supplier accepts payments for the ordered goods through major Credit Cards (Mastercard, Visa, American Express circuits) and PayPal.
Credit card data is managed directly by Banca Sella or other banks specialized in online payments, whereas, PayPal data is managed directly by PayPal.
Personal data are protected by means of next-generation encryption systems that prevent unauthorized use of such data by third parties, and is forwarded directly to the bank.
The Supplier reserves the right to request authorization from the credit cart issuing bank or PayPal to verify ownership and authenticity of the credit card in case problems are encountered. Under the right circumstances, refunds will be made to Buyer by transfer of credit card payment, within 30 days from the date on which Supplier became aware of the causes that gave Buyer the right to claim a refund.
