Baci Recipe

Ingredients

  • 00 flour, 250g
  • 190g butter at room temperature
  • hazelnut flour 120g
  • sugar semolato 120g
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 small egg
  • chocolate (hazelnut) 150g
  • vanilla berry 1

Preparation

Start by putting in a bowl the flour sifted 00, hazelnut flour and granulated sugar.

Stir with a whisk and add the seeds of a vanilla bean. When the powders are blended, pour the butter at room temperature, cut into pieces and started to knead with your hands. In a small bowl beat the egg with the salt and add to the mixture while continuing to mix. Now transferred the mixture onto a lightly floured work surface and knead with your hands until a dough compact. Flatten with your hands and cover with plastic wrap, then put the dough in the fridge to rest for at least an hour. After this time remove the dough from the refrigerator, roll into balls the size of a small walnut and place them on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper. Put the balls in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. Then bake in the oven preheated at 180 ° for 20-22 minutes or in the oven at 160 degrees for 15-20 minutes: once cooked cookies, let them cool on a wire rack. Meanwhile, take the chocolate hazelnut type, cut into large pieces and melt in a double boiler or in the microwave. Put the melted chocolate in a sac-a-few and stendetene a bit 'on the flat side of a ball, then refit with another ball. Completed the Lady's Kisses with hazelnuts, place them on a wire rack; when the chocolate gianduja is dry, the cookies are ready to eat!
