History and tradition
Cantuccini are a typical Tuscany speciality. We can find them among the most typical dessert of ancient culinary tradition of this region and they are part of our confectionary specialities. The name comes from "canto" (song in English) or from Latin "cantellus"(slice of bread). The "Cloister of Saronno" is an old Franciscan cloister situated in the center of Saronno and is the seat of the Company.
